Please leave your feedback
If you found this page, then you probably have purchased this model from the Build A MOC website. Thank you very much for your purchase! I hope you are having a good time building this model! Please do leave your comments at the bottom of this page. This is my first MOC for sale, and the first time that I made a complete manual, so I am very much interested in how it worked out for you. (If you enter a comment, you are invited to leave your email and other data, but it is not necessary. It is just that I can not switch it off. I will not use your email address.)
Other geometric designs with the same bricks
When building the MOC, you may have realized that one could make other geometric shapes with the same technique – and considering the amount of bricks in the Truncated Icosahedron, also with the same bricks.
One design that you can make is the Octahedron. It has a separate page where you can download a photo-based manual. It has a different color hinges, but I am sure you’ll figure it out.
Versions 1 and 2
As you may have noticed, this is version three of the Truncated Icosahedron. Compared to version 1, this version uses more common pins, has a happier color scheme and a slightly different design of the pentagons. Another difference is that version three comes with a complete manual, rather than an LDRAW file of the flattened model.
Version 2, is a stronger version of versions 1 and 3. It is build with a lot more bricks and can take a lot of weight. For more information see this blog post.
